The Best Dressed Man
Remember the ZZ Top song, “The Best Dressed Man,” I love that song and I love a nicely dressed guy. I was different then my girlfriend, they where looking at asses, I was a shoe person, I loved great shoes. Also, hands, nice hands with just one nice ring, nothing goody…
I came across this really great article about the different styles of means clothes called, “The American Tribes: A fashion story, there are twelve distinct cultures of American style.
The first type is the “Powerhouse” this guy thinks he’s the master of the universe, the big swinging dick, the man….This kind of man is too dark to me, to arrogant and has a mean streak. Now, he might have been fun to flirt with just to make him crazy, but no touching with this guy, he’s too over confident for me…But Oh I adore his shoes...
Next, is the Wasp, Also known as the collegiate, the preppy guy, the man in the go-to-hell pants? This guy reminds me of a woes, um the bike, the vest, blazers.. The 1920 Harvard type of guy, spends most of his time bragging…like I play a killer squash game. The only prbome is I love his those boots are so sexy...
The Professional, Also know as the company man, the shark, and I hope by now that you know what I think about sharks if you don’t know, go back and read my business articles….His first sighting was in the 1950 with a gray flannel suit and a pair of glasses like Clark Kent. Glasses with a nice pair of shoes, OMG I feeling weak at the knees...
The Workman, Also know as the Blue-Collar guy, Joe six-pack. I kind of like this look on the week-ends but the cigarette hanging from his mouth, this must go….First sight: The industrial revolution and we cant forget the Vintage Ford pickup, and Levi’s. No cifarettes, disgusting, but those work boots, tight jeans, and that shirt showing his musales, oh la la...
The Woodsman, also know as: The hunter, the outdoors man. First know sightings: the English hunting lodges, 1920’s. I like this kind of guy, however he is never allowed to kill anything, he is only allowed to carry the look, it he should want to kill a cute bird, Bambi or fish, he is dead to me….Animals are at the top of my list, never would I even look at a hunter, even if he has cool boots or shoes or whatever he wears out their snicking up on Bambie...
The Sportsman, also know as : The Jock, the running man. His first known sighting: Northern prep schools, 1960’s. He would be great for hiking with and talking walks to see nature. But, he simply can’t get out of this look and lives in it….Nice, calm and soothing, he has nice hands, and a soft voice. Intriging....
The Rake: Also know as: The playboy, the lady’s man, oh on even his good old days, this guys can be such jerks, but fun to catch and throw back in…known for his tailored blazers, dress shirts, and “the top three button undone. His frist known sighting: Las Vegas 1960. This guy is simply wasting my time….Yes, however how fun to be his buddy, we run together and are best friends, no touching just friends. He so much fun to hang with....
The Minimalist, also know as: the puritan, the man who never wears color, is boring….First known sightings: Plymouth Rock, 1620. He wouldn’t like me nor would I like him, Joe snap and go, always in a hurry to rush from here to there…So many men and such little time, I am bored already...bye catch up with you later....
The Tred: also known as: the New England-er, the professor. First known sighting: The original J. Press shop in New Haven, Connecticut, 1902, I think he’s kind of cute, not a smooth operator and that makes him appealing. Maybe just a smart nice guy. He's so tasty, and always loses his glasses, can't see a thing, easy to be with, marriage material for sure, he has a secret the way to my heart starts in my head. I love to write and so does he...

The Rocker, Also known as: The friend of the band, first known sighting, The Sunset Strip in the 1960’s. Maybe just fun to hang with, but doesn't offer more then that. I declare that was my favorite when I was a hippie, um whatever happened to him?
The Roller, Also known as: the man of leisure, the easy rider, first known sighting, the French Riviera, early 1920 recently seen at the San Diego Yacht club. Just a trust fund baby that has no place to go, however he is dressed up, not interested…Oh yes he reminds me of George Hamilton, always has a sun tan and broke Carley Simon heart....um not interested, now that jet set is boring..
Now one last thought, I am from the beach and guys should never wear socks with their shoes in the warm weather climate, so chill out, and go with the flow, Oh, and create your own style….Never Never wear socks or you're a geek, got it. Love you all and remember their is someone for everyone....hugs and kisses you hunks...xoxoxoxo
