Grandma’s Home Made Tips and Great Idea’s
I love the ideas grandma taught to me, my older sister remember many more then I , therefore in a way my sister is a very powerful part of this hub, hi sis, wherever you are right this moment. Let’s began, shall we?

To obtain juice from a lemon when only needing a small amount, pierce the skin with a fork and squeeze gently.

To ripen fruit more quickly, bury it in your vegetable bin.

Test eggs for freshness; place them in a deep bowl of cold water. Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom of the bowl.

To save time making herbal or iced tea, fill a quart container with cold water and add tea. Place in refrigerator for several hours or until desire strength. Tea will be clear with a sparkling flavor.

Keep your hands from smelling “fishy” after handling raw fish, chill them in cold water before you touch fish.

Rubbing the hands with a slice of lemon keeps off offensive odors.

For grating cheese without a mess on the grater, put cheese in the freezer on half-hour prior to grating.

To peel boiled eggs faster, pour hot water off at once and shake the pan five or six times. Then pour cold water over the eggs. They practically slide out of the shell.

Garlic oil can be made quickly and will last for ages if you place peeled garlic buds I a jar and cover with your favorite oil. You can use peanut or soy oils as well as almond. Let stand tightly covered in refrigerator. Use in salads, on meat, as needed.

To plant garlic, put an unpeeled bud of garlic root, wide end down, in a glass with a bit of water. Leave for three days. Plant in a small pot of soil, then the garlic grows about a foot high; all you need to do is just snip off, like you would chives.

For instant peanut butter, put fresh roasted peanuts in blender and blend until creamy or chunky. Honey may be added if you desire. The kids will love it!
