Bipolar Disorder Suicide is a Serious symptoms

What Do You Know About Bipolar Disorder?

Many people think of bi-polar disorder a dangerous illness, it is very dangerous; however it is mostly a danger for the person who has it. And, yes it is difficult on friends and family living or being close to a Bipolar person, their moods change so swiftly that it’s tricky to follow them, that is, IF you try to follow them. My sister and daughter both have a serious case of bipolar, sometimes a mood can last for months or days, and moreover this depends on many factors.

There is a great soft back book I read a long time ago. I think it’s called, “Potatoes not Prozac”. This means that doctors are now diagnosing scores of people with Bipolar Disorder. The truth is, they eat the wrong way and eating to much sugar, cokes and candy, all kinds of junk foods. Therefore, for these people, the effect on them appears as manic depressive person. Manic depression is what they called bipolar patients in the past. So, eating healthy, “live food” is necessary for people with a sensitive system. But, when they go to their doctor or Phyciatrist, they are told them are Bipolar and given tons of medications.

Subsequently, its difficult to keep a bipolar person on their medications, the first rationale is it will cause a weight gain of a hundred pounds or more and this can occur within a year. Then various people that are Bipolar are also very creative people. Many famous people are Bipolar, van goah was Bipolar, and I am sure, he had a psychotic break when he cut off his ear. In any case, the past twenty years the powers that be, are trying to comprehend how the brain works, we now have medication. The problems associated with the medication are lack of joy and creativity. You feel dull, like nothingness, it stops you from feeling. You are kept back in a halfway point, so you don’t get too manic, (high) or depression, (low), you lose your ability to be creative, and to have fun and get exciting while doing endeavors you take pleasure in. It takes feelings away from you and you become so bland. This is the reason many bipolar people stop taking their meds.
Even with the medications they give you today, might not perform for you down the road, your brain makes changes. One way or another they can adjust to the medication in a sense that you can brake through, and start to go off kilter. Your psychiatrist must permanently be aware of mood changes to adjust your medications to what is happening in your life at any given moment. What is the stress-ors that will kick off a manic episode? It is different for each person with this disorder, and what level of this illness you have.

Bipolar Disorder does gets worse with age, when you are young it might only show on a person in a way that it is not noticed. Then by the time a person is diagnosed with bipolar it can be discovered in mid life. Our bodies are constantly changing, and so does this disorder. But, the judgment on it is serious, people are scared to tell anyone they have it, or they are shunned. Contemplate this, every time you watch a program, like a court case or the news, they always say, this person must be bipolar to have murdered this person, or robbed that store, and so on.

Without hesitation, this is important; it is the word "Bipolar" this word is being thrown around these days. Doctors are telling everyone they are bipolar. So many of the people I know are taking medications for this disorder, and this medication has serious mind alter drugs, nothing to sneeze at. However they are only dangerous to THEMSELVES. These people will be sure to commit suicide before they die a natural death. Their pain can be far superior then a person that has had a serious auto accident, just because you don’t see them in the hospital with tubes stuffed down their throats, or a cast on there legs and arms, this is an internal pain, their secret pain is such a threat to there own survive.

In addition, Post Traumatic Stess Syndrome many times can be attached to this disorder; these two disorders do encompass very similar symptoms’. Or, they co-exist side by side. A bipolar person can stay up for days, working on an oil painter, writing or just implementing any one of their exciting projects. They must get their sleep, or it will trigger an episode which will be manic, they get so happy, busy and exciting they will move to a new town, get a divorce, quit a great job, and make so many changes just out of a manic episode. Just understand, what goes up must come down, Newton's Law. Nevertheless, the higher you go up the lower you fall; you can fall into the deepest pit, just like going to hell. It is such a dark place and you might be there for a very long time, this is the dangerous time for a bipolar person, they want to die, they want to die more then you can ever imagine. They can’t find their road out of this dark hole, this pit has not steps; the light is so far away. They can’t find anything to embrace; they become broken, a broken spirit.
Nobody can help them, every so often, not even the medication, the doctors, or their loved ones. They distance themselves from everyone that loves them, mostly in fear of hurting them in some way, not in a physical way, it an emotional way. I have tried to reach out to help people with this disorder, why don’t you try, just reaching out….maybe you can take their hand and help heave them up and bring them to the light. God Bless
