IN POVERTY, and Serious Health Issues

Dear Friends, I just received this via email, from a Native American Tribe, I will not tell you who they are, other then the fact that they saw my Gold Rush hub on Hubpages. I am no longer going to write anymore series on theGold Rush, my publisher asked me to finish the book in private. However, it does not stop me from feeling the gravity our original people of America and what they are facing here and now, you don’t notice because they have been tucked away from our view in places you would not want to spend any time. Very hot or very cold places, places where all you see is a dirt road leading someplace from a main highway. This dirt road might take hours to reach, a reservation so poor that we should all be ashamed to eat a wonderful meal tonight.

When you say your prayers at night please include the American Indians, they pray for you in every ceremony they perform. Yes, I have been in those ceremonies and it is true, they pray for Mother Earth and ever human being, as well as, all or four legged relations on this Earth. Yet, they get what from all of us, nothing? There are so many major crises happening in the world it seems cruel to add, yet another concern to your worries, however these are our relations and we seized the whole lot from them. Now we need to stipulate equal help and see the truth.

I am not changing any wording in this note below, I am transporting this to you, just like it was sent to me, it IS an arrow straight to my heart, and now my heart bleeds, help us all oh Lord, and stop and reflect, we need to take care of each other, nobody cares about any of us, not one of you does our government care. It is time to stop being a follower and take a stand. Bless you

Darlene, maybe you can change it anyway you want.

I show no importance in talking about myself. My interest is letting the people know about the suffering of the Native American People. Everybody wants to be an Indian but nobody wants to live like one. Pine Ridge & Porcupine Indian Reservations are two of the poorest places in the U.S. and other reservation aren't much better. We send billion of dollars to other countries and forget about the true people of this country the Native American. The average life expectancy on the Pine Ridge & Porcupine Reservations is 55 years old. Families live on 2,500 to 3,500 a year. " How do they survive". Because of their poor diet diabetes rans rampart. People most of the elderly die of the cold. In the winter the people leave their homes at night and walk to the hospital to sleep on the floors where it is warm to keep from freezing to death. The American Indian has suffered the abuse from the white man ever since he landed on these shores and they are still suffering the abuse today. The white people have broken every promise they have ever made to the Indian people except one they said they would take their land and they did. It's about time ALL AMERCIAN started taking care of our own especially the Native American.
