Contemplate about this thought? Straight away, whatever raison d'ĂȘtre, the old manager has departed and you are hired to take over (let’s us a casino as an example)an are appointed to replace this individual. Therefore, you merely mosey in one day to obtain this new and thought-provoking position. The entire staff of employee’s is defiant and way too disobedient. Furthermore, they decide that they can't give a positive response, they want their old boss back and you are astonished, they suppose you are going to fail and with that said.
Every part of, high lever managers must know the truth, two things that must happen to run the ship and stay on course. You’re the chief in charge, and you want the best team to make this operation a success, it’s essential and your duty to clean house!
Every part of, high lever managers must know the truth, two things that must happen to run the ship and stay on course. You’re the chief in charge, and you want the best team to make this operation a success, it’s essential and your duty to clean house!
Altogether, your demands and how you administer any operation must be communicated during your hiring process. I am making use of a casino in this theme, since this transpired to be one of my positions; I was a Key Manager for a casino. I was qualified in every department; it took me seven years of training to focus on and finally get my own casino. Functioning with, Bobby C, the General Manager of several casinos, was a blessing, one day he gave me the keys to one of his casinos. Consequently I was lucky, I was always part of his team and I understood how he operated.
Nevertheless, most of us are not that lucky and to take over any operation, small or large, you must have power. I suffered working for General Managers in my life that would, by no means, permit anyone gratis to precede any operation; the General mangers continuously considered it necessary (ego sake) to hold all the cards. My General Manager, Bobby C, he hired me to manage one of his Casino's, he trusted me and said, “go for it, you only need to remember two things; Watch what you sign, if you didn't sign it, then someone else is in big trouble, however you must sign all the big money transactions. Secondly, if any person that works for you, should ever say NO to you, Fire Them! Fire them right on the spot!” Instantly, you have the entire employee's understanding the rules and who is the Boss. After a few month of craziness, you well have produced a strong and loyal staff.
In the beginning, get acquainted with each person working for you, find out what compels them, and who happen to be their friends, do they gamble on their breaks and or drink liquor on their breaks? Perform with each person; they will observe how you work. Once they are comfortable with you, then they will spring in and perform happily with you, since in truth, they secretly have been wishing for the changes you are designing. Or, they are upset that their last boss was fired and there will always be a few who will play serious games. Its essential to get rid of them, and do it fast.

Of course, there is much additional requirement to talk about in-depth about this area under discussion; subsequently, this is only the first step to manage any Corporation. If you don't have the power, your staff will establish that, and work behind your back. However, if you and your higher management team are working together discussing important issue, and is willing to agree to you making all the best choices for your casino or company, then you will succeed. The way you operate with your choice staff, will be the funniest, happiest, hardest working employee this side of the Rio Grande. Good Luck and remember "Power".
